Discrete biological processes: nonlinear difference equations. Continuous processes: ordinary differential equations, phase plane methods, quantitative solutions. Applications: population dynamics, epidemiology, Michaelis-Menten kinetics, autocatalysis, muscle contraction. Includes a lab. May not be taken concurrently with or after MATH 268.
