Overview

This online program explores disability as a natural and integral aspect of being human, emphasizing its cultural, social, and personal significance. Students will develop skills to promote inclusion, address inequality, and advocate for justice to enhance access and equity for people with disabilities. The micro-Certificate is ideal for community members, professionals, and current UVM graduate students dedicated to advancing social change. Credits earned can be applied toward a Certificate of Graduate Study, master’s degree, or doctoral degree at UVM.

Specific Requirements

Requirements for Admission to Graduate Studies for the micro-Certificate of Graduate Study

  • Completed bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university. 
  • Completed Graduate College Application
  • Official transcripts from each college of university where credit has been earned
  • Statement of purpose; as either a written or video submission
