Moreover, advancing research for meaningful impact requires researchers with strong skills in applied research methods, including a focus on data equity. The Certificate of Graduate Study in Applied Statistics is designed to be accessible to students, faculty, and professionals across campus and outside of UVM who want practical statistical skills for research or careers.

Coursework in our 12-credit Certificate of Graduate Study in Applied Statistics includes completing two core courses focusing on the responsible application of statistical methods, concentrating on concepts rather than mathematical theory, plus six additional credits of statistics electives covering more specialized statistical methods. No background in calculus or linear algebra is required, and the micro-certificate can be completed entirely online.
